A little bit of luxury

When I was expecting my first baby nearly 50 years ago my mother bought me one of these dressing gowns but, being young and foolish, I washed it and ruined it. I've often thought of replacing it but seemed like a very expensive luxury. Now, in my 70s and living in a cold part of the country, I finally decided to splash out and bought the Marjorie in the lovely raspberry colour. I don't regret it! We've just had a very cold spell in my part of the country and it was just so nice to be able to wake up and put on something really warm before going downstairs- so much warmer than a fleece one. On Pam's advice I went a size larger than I would normally order as I'm quite pear shaped and it needs to be bigger to have a good wrapover.

I would definitely recommend treating yourself to one of these if you feel the cold but don't attempt to wash it!
